Origins stories from the coffee shop
Yes in 2007 I created a work called the Steel Kids off of a 2003 idea. It's an idea I would have sometimes, playing outside with the friends I had in that time period before my father would scare them away from playing on the grass and they'd be like "Ahhhh, playing on the grass, no one plays on the grass." Basically scaring off all my childhood friends and blaming me for why you don't have any friends, "Ahhhh!" and I'd be like, I ignore them.Anyways I'd be like, dang. I realized that it was four years ago since 2003 and I basically just miss the friends. Sometimes the girl across the street would come over but it was less rapid than it was before. It's like a rare thing now.
Ultimately where did this go? Where did this go? Still Kids, I decided to make it into a futuristic thingy. Day in the future and we must fight futuristic threats and ultimately they are the children of Mysterious and Changer. Originally there was a previous group that wasn't. Just think of 2003 but people in that, I wanna actually say, I'll tell you alternative culture. They are just kids who basically change a variation of race over different iterations, even just an all-girl version. Ultimately this was just to reinvent the idea of what was an internal playtime story with childhood friends mostly. Did you not know how interesting that is? You mean to tell me that this entire time this whole idea was structured on something very long preexisting that would never actually be given clarity under normal circumstances? Yes. And so I, for a time, tried to make this series. You can see that literally Mintz, when I decided to call him a standard whatever-the-fuck Raiden is, has a different hairstyle. He actually takes the hairstyle of Knox, who is Henry. The girl's name is Joey in this version. Why did I change it to Virgo? It just sounds weird for a woman to be called Joey but you know what? It's funny. The relation of Joey to a kangaroo and people will probably be calling her Rue in the fandom or something and I'd be like, "gee ,Like Jesus Christ, for the umpteenth time, stop!" this thing would be really much to change the narrative to fit more into the mysterious and changer world.
The tech in this version becomes less fantastical and more grounded in reality by stories from the coffee shop and it's basically a more realistic future than, I don't know, a high science future, ultimately disappointment future. Disappointment future, as much as 2026 is a disappointment future of anything.
It's ultimately to say that really the people added are the two older, actually they're adults. It's like The Legend of Korra. You got some young adult characters and you got some kid characters and you got some older adult characters and you got some very old people in that thing. You get a whole experience of all age groups in this series, just like that one.
Yet why did I make them? Why did I make the two? The two characters who are actually the true main characters are Karen and Zeykor and Stories from the coffee shop. You basically add them, and Mint, Henry, and now Virgo by 2009, when I create whatever it was I created the concept. It was actually 2009 and I combined this with CINO above and that is the cast, oh my god, and so it's like a very elaborate Mysterious and Changer spin-off. You would not know that if you didn't read the blog MkMasodern from 2015. By the way I actually hadn't been posting this but since I technically did finish Mysterious and Changer it's just that no one bought it. I can speak about it now and so forget all of that; sales are not what I just want to have some fun with this work.
